Question: David. My ability to manifest what I want is in the toilet. I’ve desired, I’ve believed and I’ve acted, and yet, I’m still stuck in the same place I was 5 years ago. I’m not talking about spending weeks or months for the manifestation, but many years. There’s obviously a lesson to be learned, but I don’t know what it is. What am I missing?

First let’s all get on the same page. There are a lot of people out there who don’t actually know the meaning of manifestation. They think that manifestation is creating something from nothing. They couldn’t be further from the truth.

What Are Limiting Beliefs?
Our beliefs are the "rules" we've set up in our minds that help us make sense of the world and maneuver successful and safely through it. Our beliefs are largely formed early on from our parents, institutions (like church, school), teachers and other "authority" figures, our peers, and the media.
Because they help us feel a sense of order and understanding of our world and create a sense of "control" or safety (despite common distortions), they are stored in the subconscious as "truths" for us and are therefore, difficult to change (unless you know the key to releasing them rapidly, which I'll share in a moment).
How to Deal with the "Inner Critic" with NLP

Many people are held back from reaching their full potential by an 'inner critic', sometimes known as the 'gremlin' or 'chatterbox', that constantly nags at them, criticises their decisions, and puts them down. Usually this is a leftover from parental criticism or put-downs from their peer group that the person unconsciously took on board during their childhood.
If this sounds familiar, you'll be aware that it's one thing knowing where the 'inner critic' came from, but quite another knowing how to deal with it. The good news is that you can reduce the emotional impact of an internal critic, without trying to challenge the meaning of what it's saying (after all, doing that would give you an extra 'inner voice' to distract you) – just by playing around with how the voice sounds.

Last week I wrote about the importance of having a marketing mix and determining your top 3 effective marketing tactics to focus on. Today I want to expand on one of my favorites–networking.
First, it's important to really understand what business networking is. A good definition would be "the process or practice of building up or maintaining informal relationships, especially with people whose friendship could bring advantages such as job or business opportunities."
I believe the key idea here is "building/maintaining relationships." Yet this is where so many people go wrong with networking–they go into it first with the attitude of "getting."

In the movie, The Prestige, one of the main characters dissects the elements of a magic trick.
You start by showing the object you’re going to manipulate in some way (i.e. make disappear).
You manipulate the object; in this case you make it disappear.
Then, you bring it back. This is the prestige. It’s not enough to make something disappear. You need to bring it back.
In essence, what he’s talking about is closure. You need to bring closure to whatever you’re doing or it will feel unfinished. This is true for a lot of things in life, including your marketing and copywriting. How do you do this?
The Importance of a Marketing Mix
What is a "marketing mix" and why is it important to have one? Have you heard that saying, "Don't put all your eggs in one basket?" The same reasoning goes for having a variety of ways that you market your business. Relying on only one or two methods is most likely a recipe for disaster.
Although you may have heard about a business that survives solely on one way of getting new customers (such as referrals/word of mouth), this is a rarity and not something you want to initally pin your business success on.
Having several sources of marketing will better protect you from your pipeline of prospects drying up. Yet, having too many sources can spread you too thin, creating extra stress or diluting your effectiveness.
